Dr. Chaoquan Hu received his doctorate (Ph.D.) in the Institute of Process Engineering (IPE), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) in 2009. After working as a research assistant professor in CAS for about one year, he joined as a postdoc in Prof. Chan's group in the Chemistry Department of the University of Hong Kong. In November of 2012 he moved to Chalmers and worked on biodiesel hydrogenation. Since October of 2015, he has been appointed as a special professor in the state key laboratory of multiphase complex systems, IPE, CAS. His research interests include carbon-containing renewable energy, fundamental aspects of chemical reactions, application of mineral resources as catalyst, and reactor design. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers, which have been cited more than 300 times with H-index of 13.
